Children's Day 2004

Every year, Thailand celebrates its children by giving them their own, special 'Children's Day'. This event occurs in January.

Following its Charter in January 2003, Rotary Club of Koh Samui (ROCKS), decided to join in with the festivities the following January, and set up their stall at Nathon Pier with the Thai Community, who were there to make the children feel honoured and loved. Over a period of three hours, ice cream and bottled water were dispensed to eager participants, and even to a few 'big kids'! Rotarians who came along to help, all agreed that it had been a great success, and vowed that it would become an annual event.
